The Clinic Plato hosts the Prize to excellence to the quality in hospitals that the Foundation Avedis Donabedian grants with INTERSALUS's sponsorship.

The Foundation Avedis Donabedian has granted to the Hospital Plató - Private Foundation the award to the excellence in quality sponsored by INTERSALUS, in the framework of the Awards FAD 2005 to the quality in health system, which in this year has been to its 16th edition, in the one that is standing out to those people or institutions that have contributed to the improvement of the health care quality national or international.

Of the annual presentation, it was the last January 13th in the Palace of the Catalan Music, coincided with the Concert of New Year's Eve of the health system, in an act that counted on the presence of the adviser of the Department of Health and Social Security of the Generalitat, Marina Geli, and numerous personalities and professionals of the Catalan and state health. The award was gathered by the general manager of the Clinic, Jordi Pujol Colomer.

This year the Award Avedis Donabedia to the excellence in quality in hospitals has been granted to the Hospital Plató - Foundation Private in recognition to the effort realized in the system implantation of improvement of the quality by means of the model EFQM (European Foundation Quality Management), everything standing out the general level of the aims and indicators obtained.

Hospital Plató - Private Foundation wants to emphasize that this award is a merit of all the professionals of the institution which have been involved in the implantation of the systems of improvement of the quality by means of the model EFQM.
